Museum and Archaeological Sites of Cimiez
The Archaeological Museum of Cimiez was built in 1989 on the hill of Kemenelon (or Cemenelum as it was called in Latin).
In ancient times, Roman baths were built on this site and they are extremely well preserved. Today, we can admire them as well as the many associated objects found during excavations.
The museum exhibits include potteries, jewels, tools …, evidence of the urban life that once abounded here.
The outdoor sites of the baths and the amphitheatre should also form part of any visit.
