Forming an ellipse measuring 67 x 56 metres, the Cemenelum arenas, with a capacity of 4000 spectators, used to stage gladiator combats.  Now mostly in ruins, it is still the prestigious home for traditional events and the Cimiez Jazz Festival.

The Parc des Arène is the ideal place to spend a pleasant day out for a picnic under the olive trees, play games on the grass and visit the Archaeology Museum, the Matisse Museum and the Roman remains of Cemenelum.
